Welcome to Skye Shrubs
Skye Shrubs is a small Nursery and Garden Centre in Portree on the Isle of Skye. The Garden Centre is situated in lovely woodland in the grounds of Viewfield House on the south side of the village. Here we offer a wide selection of native and ornamental trees, shrubs, herbaceous and alpine plants, heathers, roses fruit trees and fruit bushes. In season, we also stock bedding, vegetable plants and seeds, aquatic plants (water lillies and marginal plants), bulbs and herbs.
We specialise in growing plants suitable for outdoor use in Skye. These are mainly maritime, hardy and acid loving plants and the majority of our shrubs are propagated from stock growing outside in our Nursery in Portree.
We know our Island and can give expert advice on plant's suitability to those who require it and hopefully impart our passion for gardening with it.
We also stock a range of composts, fertilisers, chemicals and other sundries to cater for all your gardening needs. We have barrels, containers, frost proof glazed pots, stoneware bird baths, sundials and ornaments.
We also sell and accept National Garden Gift Vouchers.
To help with the cost of gardening for the keen gardener, we run a Garden Centre Club which gives you a 10% discount on everything we sell (except National Garden Gift Voucher purchases).
